I have been a frequent collaborator with the USC Shoah Foundation Institute through my work at the Institute for Multimedia Literacy.
The USC Shoah Foundation Institute develops innovative forms of Holocaust education by connecting its tremendous Visual History Archive with learners and educators all over the world.
As a collaborator, I have contributed to ethically sensitive and technically sophisticated teaching strategies as part of the following projects:
Master Teacher Network – Developed Professional Development Curriculum for middle and high school teachers to work with testimony from the visual history archive, with a comprehensive digital workflow based on sound principles of ethical editing.
Student Voices Film Competition – Created a video editing workflow for undergraduate participants and taught a series of compulsory workshops on ethical editing with Holocaust witness and survivor testimonies.
HBO Master Class Workshop – Curriculum strategist and instructor.
IWitness – Produced a series of short videos on the fundamental concepts and skills of digital non-linear video editing as well as the ethics of editing.
